A budget-friendly homestay with good service, and a good place to stay.

This hotel has changed owners and is now called Grand Cairo. Prices are higher than indicated, and the price doesn’t match the quality. My room was very dirty and extremely humid, and the bed felt hard as plywood.

Friendly people, good service, and a lovely view made for a nice stay.

For a budget stay, this is a good choice, whether you’re travelling as a family or on your own. They offer breakfast and dinner, and there’s the option to pay online. Vijay and Sanjay are the reason I’d recommend it. Vijay was kind, communicated well, and listened to all my needs. The bathroom fittings were good, the mattress was clean, and hot water ran 24 hours. I received appealing, adorable service. I’m a neurosurgeon doing a fellowship in surgical oncology, and this was a good location for preparing for my surgeries.

The staff were responsible and friendly, and we had a wonderful time. It’s a great place to stay.
