For a solo woman traveler, this feels like a perfectly safe choice. Daffodils by La maison charu offers a decent budget room near rock beach and white town, with simple, minimal aesthetics and a room that looks fully Pinterest coded. The caretaker Imran at reception was especially helpful, and the staff clean the room daily. There’s a water purifier, and the bedsheets and towels are decently clean. The bathroom was clean too. Early check-in or late check-out depends on availability.

The location near Promenade Beach and Sri Aurobindo Ashram is good, but poor upkeep and missing basics made this a bad choice for us. Our first room was damp, smelled of fungus, and had wet walls. They changed it only after we complained, which points to poor maintenance and quality control. The rooms are also noisy because of the nearby road. There’s no food service on site, and basic items like night lamps and towel holders were missing. Some staff were polite, but management overall felt disorganized. Guests shouldn’t have to ask for a room change over dampness and fungal smells. The price doesn’t match the quality, and there are much better kept options in Pondicherry with more reliable service. I expected a comfortable stay at Daffodils by La Maison Charu, but was extremely disappointed. Avoid it unless you have no other option.

The balcony deluxe room cost me Rs.2650. It was spacious and clean, and the washroom was clean as well. I liked the innovative cotton candy color combination. The Rock beach is about 700 meters away. Overall, good value for money.

The reception team were really helpful and supportive. The rooms are clean and spacious, with Smart TVs, and the hotel is right in the city center. A good place to stay.
