That icy pavement at checkout gave us a scare when my wife slipped, but the staff quickly brought healing spray and let us use their washroom, which we really appreciated. We’d had a lovely stay at Arco Hotels, Sonamarg, with a roomy room, an electric blanket that was a big help in the cold, and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Central heating was weak, though the extra heater kept things comfortable. The mountain setting was gorgeous. We also enjoyed the paneer butter masala, tandoori roti, and stuffed kulcha, plus the complimentary papad and desserts. Breakfast had plenty of vegetarian choices, from idli sambhar and chole poori to fruit, oats, and tea or coffee. We’d be happy to come back.

Our first trip to Kashmir felt all the more worthwhile because of our stay at Sonamarg Arco as well as the splendid destination. The rooms had beautiful views, the staff at both places were caring, courteous, and helpful, and the chefs made delicious meals. The gala dinner on New Year’s Eve was a particular highlight. A wonderful experience, and highly recommended. 👏😃👌

They even helped arrange local sightseeing, which made this a great stay for families or couples. Our room was spacious, kept in good shape, and looked out over a magnificent valley view. The staff really made an effort to keep us comfortable, and the hospitality was one of the best parts of my Kashmir trip.

Heavy snowfall made getting around difficult, but the team drove us safely to our cab in their 4x4. Shahid bhai deserves a special thank you for taking us along that rough road to the cab parking. We also appreciated the late checkout, excellent housekeeping, and the respectful way everyone treated our family. Sameer bhai at reception was especially helpful and arranged all kinds of facilities. We had a very enjoyable stay at Arco Resort Sonmarg, and I’d recommend booking here for a winter snowfall visit.

My electric car’s battery ran completely flat, and the team immediately arranged charging without adding any cost. That kind of help was a lifesaver in a remote place like Sonamarg. I’m staying at Arco Hotel now, and the property is clean, comfortable, and well cared for, with lovely natural surroundings. The staff are polite, genuinely kind, and make the service feel personal. I’m grateful to the whole team for their care and professionalism. A very pleasant stay, and easy to recommend.
