Hotel Wilson - Velankanni

The property was poorly maintained, with dirty bedsheets, stained mattresses, and generally poor cleanliness. My family of 16 stayed here, and we experienced disturbing events at night on both the ground and first floors. Around 12:30 AM, and sometimes again at 4:00 AM, we heard loud bangs and repeated knocking on doors and windows. We also saw steel glasses, cups, and water bottles being thrown around. It happened more than once. Our prayers and efforts to calm things did not stop it. By the second day, the first floor had become unbearable, while things were only slightly better downstairs. This place felt haunted, and clearly something was wrong. When we told the staff and owner, they acted as if this was the first they'd heard of it, though it seemed obvious they knew. The owner also demands full payment on the first day, making it hard to leave early if you face these problems. In reality, nobody seems to stay more than a day. I strongly advise against booking here.

We paid the full charge but didn't get even basic hospitality, and this didn't feel like a safe or comfortable place to stay. There was no drinking water, and the room amenities were in very poor shape: the wardrobe was broken and the TV didn't work. I told the hotel manager, but he didn't fix anything and was rude and unprofessional. Extremely disappointing.

The church is very near, and the way there goes through the market. But take the negative reviews literally, because your stay could be even worse. It seems to me they keep this hotel open just to cash in during the season.

Getting a room took so much time, and I hated the service. The bathrooms were dirty, with filthy water. I think booking a room there was a bad idea.
