Hotel VB Grand

The location was great, and I found the service excellent. Rooms were well maintained and cleaned thoroughly. But water seemed to be a problem while I was there, and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, which made the room less comfortable. Even with those issues, the good points made the stay positive overall.

The rooms were filthy: the sheets, doors, and floors were dirty, and the washroom was worst of all. Even public toilets are much cleaner. I disliked the property, including the atmosphere and the staff. They kept switching off the hall lights even when we turned them on. When we complained, staff said all the rooms were the same and this was what they had. They weren’t supportive at all. Not recommended, even for free.

Hot water might be an issue, and the lift was under repair at times. Since reception is on the second floor, check that the lift is working if you’re traveling with older family members; younger people should be fine. The building looks old from outside, but inside the rooms are clean and good value compared with high-budget hotels. Staff are polite. We had a good stay.
