We came for the breakfast buffet, not to stay overnight. The buffet was decent, but I didn’t think it was worth the price. The design felt gloomy for a five-star hotel, and the respectful staff weren’t especially friendly, which made things awkward. They also expected a tip, something that isn’t usual in Iran. I’d look at other places to eat in Tehran.

The place was clean and soundproof, and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was perfect. I think it earns its stars, and in some areas even five. The two things I’d improve are the pillows, which were much too big, and the fish at Gilani restaurant, which wasn’t very good.

I came to see a relative and was struck by how the lobby was designed and decorated. There was even a grand piano, which is quite rare in Iran.

As far as I know, the hotel is owned by an Indian company. The two restaurants were both fantastic, and the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. I was moved from a single room to a one-bedroom suite. My experience was positive overall, though I’d give the hotel four stars at most. The rooms in the older section need updating, and management should pay more attention to room cleanliness.
