Paulina stepped in incredibly quickly and went above and beyond to save one person in our party from a possible financial loss. Robert made dining feel personal and gave us wonderful local recommendations for our travels. The staff are what make this hotel. It was my best hotel experience in years, and if I return to Reykjavík, I’ll always stay here.

The restaurant’s breakfast was good, but dinner was disappointing. It was busy and had a nice atmosphere, though the food wasn’t memorable and, in our opinion, wasn’t worth the price. The hotel itself was a great choice for our two-night stay. I’d first booked The Edition, then cancelled when I realized Iceland Parliament Hotel was much more central. After seeing both areas, I’m sure I chose right. It’s in the heart of the city, so sightseeing on foot was easy. The staff were kind, attentive and helpful without making a big show of it. We got an upgrade through our Amex Platinum benefit, and the room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. I’d gladly stay again for the location, room and pleasant service.

The geothermal spa right on the premises was a great feature, and the breakfast buffet helped us start the day well, with plenty of fresh options and made-to-order items. I also loved the building’s history and the contemporary art guests can explore. It’s an art lover’s dream. The hotel is central, within walking distance of many key sights. Our room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable after a day out exploring.

Our room looked straight onto Parliament Square, with the trees lit up beautifully. Breakfast each morning offered a buffet or freshly cooked hot dishes, with lots of choice. Being right in the middle of everything was handy, and the hotel is next to Bus Stop #1, where the tours pick up. That was especially useful when we got dropped off close to 1am after a northern lights trip. The food, location and rooms were all amazing. 5 ⭐
