We spent four nights at Hotel Lory after arriving at the hotel we’d booked and paid for, only to find it closed. We spotted Hotel Lory while heading out for a drink, went in with our translation app, and got a great rate. The staff were awesome, and breakfast was included. We also had a lovely dinner there one evening. Our room was clean and had A/C, and the hotel was handy for the bus lines and the Italian Plaza, where we caught a tour bus. We walked all over, including the old town, which was beautiful. We’re looking at property in the area, so we’ll probably come back.

The spa was my favorite part, especially the really relaxing massage. Our room was spacious, with a separate sitting area, and everything was clean. The reception was so welcoming, and they suggested some nearby places that turned out to be amazing. Make sure to try their pici al ragù before you leave.

Don’t miss dinner here. The homemade food was great, and the meal felt like an experience in itself. This is a lovely three-star hotel, run by a husband and wife who handle everything from check-in and luggage to dinner service. The first-floor spa is brand new and private, and we really liked that family touch.

We only stayed one night, and I really wish we’d had two. Our fourth-floor room was spacious, with a great shower and an incredible view of the Tuscan hills. Breakfast had a wonderful range of homemade cakes and fruit, plus a cappuccino I loved. It made me laugh that they didn’t speak much English.

We had such a lovely time exploring the old town, and we’ll be back to the area. Mario and his wife were incredibly gracious and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and our room was clean and had A/C.
