Le Quattro Mura Exclusive

The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen with utensils, coffee pods, a toaster, and a microwave. Its central location is fantastic, just steps from Piazza della Signoria and handy for the supermarket. I highly recommend it for a stay in Florence!

I wanted to be right in central Florence so I could get to the Uffizi Gallery early, which is why I picked this hotel. The staff were kind and flexible when I ran into some trouble with booking and check-in. Being able to use the kitchen, washing machine, and coffee machine was a big help during the trip. There was a lingering cigarette smell, though, despite it being a non-smoking hotel. It had worked its way into the fabrics and wouldn't clear, even when I opened the window morning and evening.

The location was outstanding, just steps from Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo, and there was an elevator. The apartment had all the appliances and was VERY CLEAN, though the photos made it look newer than it was. Given that it's in a 15th-century building in central Florence, I hadn't expected anything especially modern. We chose an apartment so we could eat in, but three of the four plates still had sauce on them. The previous guests were probably responsible, but I wouldn't expect that from a 4-star apartment. The water pressure was also very low.

The room itself was very nice and had a kitchen, which is why this wasn't one star. Getting inside was a hassle, and we had to call several times in the sun just to leave our suitcases. Worse, the supposedly clean tablecloth had a streak of something truly disgusting. I wrote to the owner, who said it might be rust, but I still think it was unacceptable to leave for guests. They need to pay MUCH more attention to cleanliness. I can't recommend it, which is a shame given how nice the room was.
