Real Taste of Tuscany

We loved Veronica and her flat! The neighborhood is one we’re especially fond of, with some of our favorite restaurants nearby. I’d happily stay again.

We spent four nights here in December 2022/2023. Our train from Pescara was delayed after a derailment on 31Dec 2022, and I let Veronica know we’d be arriving late. She was in a rush to leave Firenze for the New Year celebrations. I kept sending updates during the journey, including when we changed trains in Bolgogna. We reached the house about half an hour late. She hurried through check-in but was friendly, then asked us not to bang the door because the elderly neighbor next door was sensitive to noise. We respected that. We didn’t make a fuss, but found dirty utensils in the drawer when we went to prepare a meal. The location is great, the beds were fine, and the apartment and area have lots of character. I deleted my Booking.com comment after Veronica attacked me over a rating that was intended as constructive, not nasty. From the site, she seems to get upset over even a small negative remark. She seemed patient and understanding when we were messaging, so perhaps she could take guest feedback into account instead of getting defensive. The rating of 3 was generous and based only on the location and charm. When we stayed in Firenze in 2017, our apartment was much noisier, with ambulances passing every day, but we had the loveliest host and I left very positive feedback. Noisy streets can’t be helped. We’ll stay somewhere else next time.

I called to ask for information, but the woman I spoke to wasn’t very nice. I definitely wouldn’t recommend calling her!

Great location, but there’s way too much furniture.
