The room had a really cool medieval feel, and the building is beautiful, set on a narrow street in Florence’s old town south of the Arno. Palazzo Piti is just two blocks away, and the Vecchio covered bridge is close too. Trendy restaurants, gelatto places, and bars are all around. The AC didn’t work on the first day, but had fixed itself by the second. Room service is only once a week by default. I didn’t mind, though I think you can request it online if you want.

The location and size get three stars from me. The apartment was dated and not properly cleaned, with no elevator and very little space to store luggage. There’s no one there to help in person, and for anything you have to use WhatsApp and wait 15-30 minutes. They call it an Apart hotel, but to me it’s just like an Airbnb. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We like Numa and have stayed with them in Milan too, and we’d stay again. This place lost a star because there’s no elevator. We were in town for a big family event and were surprised, since the other places our group used all had one. A family member with a disability found the stairs difficult.

The view and the place are stunning, and the kitchenette has all the necessities. Just be aware there’s no elevator. We were on the top floor, so that room wouldn’t suit elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. Aside from that, fantastic location. 10/10
