Sleep Tight Florence

We were three people, and the apartment was just the right size. The price felt like great value, and the staff were friendly with daily cleaning included. It’s about 10 minutes from the station and 20 from the centre, with bus options that take around 10 minutes too. The road can get noisy at night, but earplugs sorted that out easily.

The location gets 4 stars, but the freshness only 2. The ground-floor room’s washroom gets 1: the bathing area is very cramped, the drain was clogged, and the water pressure was very low. I’d rate the place around 2-3 stars overall.

The apartment is about ten minutes from the city center, and the manager had coordinated our arrival well. But the sleeping setup made it hard to rest: a bed was put in the kitchen, with a weak cooling device. The place has one bedroom and one kitchen for five people, which isn’t standard and leaves little room. The bed also sank in badly. We reported that along with the other problems, and were told two other apartments were empty that night and we could move for another 100 euros. We’d already paid enough. If the bed is old and completely sunken, it should be replaced, not met with a thank-you for mentioning it. We weren’t satisfied, and this is the first negative Google comment I’ve written. I hope guests are treated with more respect.

This isn’t a hotel, and with six other rooms in the same apartment there’s no sound insulation. We heard people throughout the place, and building work was noisy too, so we couldn’t sleep. The kitchen was useless because it had no equipment. We were told the towels would be changed, but they weren’t, and we used them for all three days. Showering left water everywhere, so we used towels to dry the floor because no other equipment was provided. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly either. Each time, we had to fill a trash can with water to clean it. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the tram, then around fifteen more to reach the town center, so I wouldn’t call it central. I’d avoid this apartment if possible for a better stay in Florence.
