The restaurant here serves good food, and its wine selection is great. Ask for help choosing and they’ll find a wine that goes perfectly with your meal. We felt very welcome during our two nights here. It’s a great base for visiting Matera, around 15 minutes from the center. The rooms are fantastic, all new, with a small garden and a nice bathroom. Very quiet, too. 😁

The owners are super friendly, and the food was amazing. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, with an incredible view. A great modern place for a relaxing stay while visiting Italy.

SPEECHLESS. There’s so much attention to detail here, from the cleanliness to the hospitality and service. The room was clean and comfortable, with its own terrace for relaxing, and it came with everything: bathroom kit, slippers, sleep mask, earplugs, shoe polishing cloth, minibar, coffee and herbal teas included in the price, a hairdryer, and even hair straighteners. I’d gladly return. If you’re staying in Matera, stay at AMARENA GARDEN HOUSE. We had dinner and breakfast, and the restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food and kitchen staff were impeccable, especially at dinner. We chose an older wine, and the cork may have been the problem. We exchanged the bottle, but the replacement had the same issue, with small pieces of cork in the wine. Mr. Silvio offered us desserts and didn’t charge for the bottles we hadn’t drunk. A gentleman.

A colleague told me about this property, and I was thrilled with everything. It’s in a really strategic spot, just a few kilometers from Matera and surrounded by nature. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well organized. I also highly recommend the "LAVANDA" restaurant on the property. Luciano greeted us impeccably, made us feel at home, and guided us through a tasting of superb seafood dishes with kindness and professionalism. I’ll definitely be back.
