The staff made me feel very welcome. They were friendly, enthusiastic, and always up for a chat, which I really appreciated as a Neapolitan. I’d definitely recommend the hotel! It’s less than a five-minute walk from the Università stop on Linea 1, and the train station is only two subway stops away. That makes it handy for visiting Pompei, Ercolano, Vesuvio and Sorrento. The main touristic port and central Via Toledo are about 10 minutes away, and places like Piazza del Gesù, Santa Chiara, the Duomo, Via San Gregorio Armeno with its artisan Presepe shops, and Cappella Sansevero are close by. There are plenty of good pizzerie and restaurants in the area, too. The hotel occupies two floors of an old building. The road outside looks a bit worn, but inside the rooms are clean, welcoming and comfortable, with modern furnishings and thoughtful touches. The rooms are large, and the safe could fit my 15.4-inch laptop. A fresh continental buffet breakfast was a good start to the day.

The rooms were clean and the location was very good, but there was a sewage smell throughout them. I’d suggest it if you’re on your own, but not for couples, since that odor really kills the romance 😕

We felt at home at Hotel Schilizzi, thanks especially to the staff, who were professional, helpful, and genuinely sweet with our child. Their warmth made the stay memorable. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, and our room was very clean, comfortable, and well looked after. It’s a short walk to public transport, the harbor for sea trips, and the main attractions. We’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Naples who wants comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality.

The staff were very friendly and the location is ideal, right in the center. Breakfast was nice, with plenty of variety. The rooms are old, though, and the price felt a bit expensive.

We booked a 20 m² room but got one that seemed much smaller, maybe 12 m² at most. That felt misleading and uncomfortable. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional when they accused us of taking water without paying, even though we hadn’t. They also refused to check the cameras. A very disappointing experience. If I could give this place zero stars, I would, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
