The old city setting comes with a few things to be ready for: steep stairs to the top floor, nighttime noise, and planes overhead from the nearby airport. We were fine with that and really enjoyed the stay. Mr Fabio and Ms Giovanna looked after our group of six so warmly, helped with whatever we needed, and shared all the city information we asked for. Breakfast is included, and they’ll make coffee or other drinks for you too.

I wasn't keen on the city or the historic area around the hotel, but the place itself was nice. The person working there was so welcoming and hospitable that I stopped thinking about the city's inconveniences.

Parking was our main headache. The nearest option was about 350 metres away and cost €35-50 a day, while a recommended quick parking lot was 700 metres away at €25 per day. The B&B is on the top floor of a very old building with no lift, so those stairs aren't for everyone, though the place inside is newly and beautifully furnished. Fabio was attentive and answered our many questions with detailed maps and recommendations rooted in local history and tradition. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and breakfast came with some of the best coffee. We were into our second week in southern Italy, but my wife was still dreaming about it. Famous pizza places are just a stone's throw away.

The room was just as described, with plenty of space, good upkeep, and a comfortable feel. Fabio was a pleasure to talk with, spoke impeccable English, and knew the area inside out. He gave us great local advice and took time to answer all our questions. On departure, he made sure we got safely into the taxi he had called. We felt looked after from his quick, efficient messages before the trip to the warm welcome and helpful farewell. He even insisted on carrying our bags up the three flights in this historic building with no lift, then carried two heavy suitcases down by himself like an Olympic athlete. Breakfast was thoughtful and lovely, with options for everyone, and Fabio makes a great coffee. The B&B is a real find in the historic heart of Napoli. We wished we could stay longer, and expect to return on our next trip. Grazie mille to Fabio for a wonderful stay, you really are molto gentile.
