The room was noisy all night, with no insulation, and the old window wouldn’t close fully. The door used a key rather than the card listed on the booking. We didn’t sleep and ended up crying. Nobody apologized. We had to stay because there was nowhere else at a similar price. As the reviewer notes, we slept without pillows, a blanket, towels or air conditioning. The fridge was the only thing left in the room, and it didn’t work. The cheeses I’d bought to take home spoiled and had to be thrown away. We arrived at 4 p.m., but the room wasn’t ready, so we waited half an hour. Then a receptionist took us to another building, up a lot of stairs with no elevator, which hadn’t been mentioned in the booking information. The room didn’t match the photos or the listed standard-room facilities. It was much smaller than stated, with a very low ceiling. I’m 156 cm tall and could touch it. There was no closet, chair, table, or place to sit or put a suitcase. No tea or coffee, and no hot water. The sheets were dirty. The room seemed to be under renovation, was terribly unclean, and smelled strongly of mold. I took a video and sent it to the booking service. When I told the employee there’d been a mistake, she said, “this is what we have,” and refused to change our room. Her manager came in nervously, swore at me in Italian, which I understand, and told me to get out of her hotel. She took the pillows, joy, some towels and the air-conditioner remote from the room, then left. I tried to contact booking but got no help. I’d booked a hotel in Naples called Toledo Lifestyle Suite for two people. The reviewer also says there are entire forums in punctuation about the hotel and that many people have had the same experience. They say negative customer feedback is blocked on booking, leaving the hotel with a very high score that doesn’t reflect the reality.

A big letdown. It was dirty and looked nothing like the photos, and definitely didn’t feel worth four stars.

I was a bit wary after seeing negative Google reviews, but I ended up really liking this place. It was clean and super nice, and I think it’s in the best location strip. The woman at reception was lovely and helped with everything. Restaurants are all around the hotel, and the port is a seven-minute walk away. The claims from other people about shared rooms and all that nonsense don’t match my experience. Five stars for this one, for sure.

The old-town location is great, but the standard room was very cramped: a small double bed right beside a toilet and sink, with barely any space between them. It was uncomfortable. The room looked much darker than the photos, and the balcony was dirty. It faces a narrow street by a beautiful street, and it gets really loud from 7 a.m., enough to wake you. The internet was very bad. Nobody answered when I called, and when I asked for things, they said yes but didn’t follow through. They weren’t helpful.
