A Casa Doina Tower

The shared bathrooms were clean and fine, especially considering how relatively cheap the hotel was. The location was also great, within walking distance of both the station and the leaning tower of Pisa, which you could see from the breakfast balcony. But the hotel was really hard to find because the sign was extremely small. Breakfast was poor: we arrived half an hour after it opened and most of the food, including the bread, was gone, and the coffee was burnt. The room was very worn down and needed repainting, and the beds were hard. I wouldn’t recommend it if you plan to spend time in the room.

We only stayed one night, and I wouldn’t want to stay longer. There’s street parking, but it was a bit noisy, and the bathroom is shared. The place was clean, breakfast was good, and it’s very close to the tower. You can even see it from the terrace. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could.

The location was very good, but I didn’t enjoy staying here. The shared bathrooms weren’t very clean, there was mold, and the shower head had broken right off the wall. The Wi-Fi didn’t work well in the room, and it was so loud that I had a hard time sleeping. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Hostelworld said reception was open until 24:00, but when I arrived at 23.45 there was nobody there. I called both numbers posted on the door, and neither person could help me. I’m still waiting for a refund. They haven’t even replied to my calls or email, let alone taken the initiative to make up for this horrible end to my birthday. By the way, I do speak Italian, so this wasn’t a language issue, just amateurism.
