Carnaby Hotel

I stayed here for three days in January 17 and thought the hotel was pretty good. Our room was spacious, with a lovely beach view, and the bathroom was large and had everything we needed. The hotel is close to the beach too.

The best part of the hotel is its location, right across from the beach and on a street full of Rimini restaurants and nightlife. It's lively and buzzing. I came for one night after a long drive from France, and the sea-view balcony was amazing. The included breakfast was adequate, though I'm not sure I'd want it every day. My single room really was tiny, especially the bathroom, and as someone taller than average but under two metres, I found it hard to move around in there. The bed was very small too. I parked beside the property and was charged 15 euros.

The room was small, the beds had metal frames, and the shower could use a little maintenance, but those quirks didn't spoil our stay. In fact, they added to the fun. We chose the Carnaby for our family's first trip to Italy because we wanted to relax and spend time around locals, and we found that here. The bed faced the French doors and balcony, looking east over the beachfront and sea, so we got to see some incredible sunrises and sunsets. Breakfast had a good continental selection, and the staff were lovely. Andrea and Oscar (POCO LOCO!!!) greeted us warmly each time we came back, with drinks and nibbles, even when we only stayed a few minutes before bed. The hotel didn't have entertainment, but the two of them supplied plenty of it. They made us feel looked after, almost as if they were welcoming us into their home. We used a familiar translation app to get by, while everyone made an effort to speak English just as we tried our Italian. We had a wonderful, very short week and really wished we could have stayed longer. A lovely holiday with lovely people.

The staff were kind and caring, always trying to help with whatever we needed. Between them, they speak 12 languages, so you can talk to them in just about any European language you can think of. Our room had a beautiful sea view, and the price was low for such a good location and quality.
