Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese

A few weeks before Christmas, we had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese. As Accor Platinum members, we'd booked a Deluxe Suite, and from the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded our expectations. The suite was lovely and spacious, and the reception team welcomed us with such warmth and attention that we felt cared for throughout. The views made breakfast a pleasure every morning. We also loved cocktails at the Settimo Bar, where the drinks were perfectly made and the atmosphere and views were unforgettable. And for “Emily in Paris” fans, several scenes were filmed at the hotel, which made the stay even more memorable. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Da Silva, Front Office Manager, who kindly helped us with a few things even after we had left. Her professionalism and dedication reflect the hotel's outstanding service. It's an elegant place with fantastic views, warm personal touches and exceptional service. We highly recommend Sofitel Villa Borghese and are already looking forward to coming back.

Lunch breaks were a real highlight, thanks to the restaurant on the 7th floor. The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the panoramic view across Rome was breathtaking. I was there for a training session, and the conference room was comfortable, well equipped, and suited to a focused professional event. A strong choice for business gatherings.

We only spent a short time there, but the staff made us feel like regulars. They were kind and welcoming from the start, and even gave our one-year-old a little stuffed animal. They also set up a crib before we arrived, which we usually have to ask for. We wished we could have stayed in Rome all week because we felt so at home. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully set up, with fresh sheets, a large soaking tub, rainfall shower, double sinks, and plenty of outlets. The hotel felt modern and beautifully designed, with all the amenities we needed. The bed was perfectly made for our little king. Breakfast was simple and tasty: fresh bread, pastries, meats, fruit, and vegetables. The dining room had a spectacular view over the city, better than we expected given the location. Staff also gave us great ideas for walks, restaurants, and things to do. Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese is a peaceful spot, just far enough from the busier areas, and we had a memorable stay.

The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. They even kept something we forgot and returned it to us the next day. The hotel is clean, stylish, and has a lovely interior, though the space feels quite small and confined. We were given an upgraded room, but it was still small, with just one window and no balcony, and there wasn't enough room for our large luggage. At times the shower smelled, though running the water for a bit cleared it. The rooftop is nice, but the food and drinks are overpriced, and you need to reserve because the area isn't very large. The central location makes it easy to walk around, but the room price felt far too high for what we got.
