Concorde

The price might seem low for Rome, but this stay was absolutely not worth it. There was a banging sound in the room every ten seconds all night, like someone kicking the floor. Outside noise made sense given the location, but this constant noise was unbearable, even with the earplugs I brought, and I barely slept. Hot water took ten minutes to arrive, then the shower pressure was so weak the soap wouldn't rinse off. The bathroom always smelled of sewage, and the exhaust fan made a terrible noise. After lying on the bed, I got an itchy rash all over. I stuck it out because the booking was non-refundable, but it was a nightmare. I wouldn't stay here for even a second again.

The room was clean and good, though the hair dryer was broken and there were sweets in the drawer from the previous guests. Reception was open 24/7, and I'd stay again. Location gets 5/5, especially for train and bus connections to the airports. There were a few scruffy locals around late at night.

The staff were extremely helpful, and the hotel is handy for Roma Termini and restaurants. For a two-star place, the rooms are satisfactory. Our shower was very tiny. It didn't bother us, though it could be a problem for someone larger.

The room was basic but decent, and the staff were courteous and attentive. Getting around from here is excellent, with amazing connections. The one downside is the neighborhood: it feels like an extension of the termini, with lots of street hawkers.
