San Giusto Hotel

The breakfast was delicious and much better than I expected. The location is hard to beat, with the metro just 10 meters away and Roma Termini only three stops away, so getting around is easy. The rooms are small. Also, if you're traveling with a lot of luggage, be aware there's no elevator from the lobby and you'll need to carry your bags yourself.

The room was simple, the hotel was clean, and breakfast was good. It was good value and well located. Most of the time it was also quiet and pleasant for sleeping, except for the music in the corridors. It was loud enough to hear in the room even with the TV on. I was sleepy by around 8 p.m. because of a six-hour time difference and needed to rest. For the first three days, a very pleasant receptionist simply turned the music off when I asked, which was great. The last two evenings were a nightmare. An unpleasant, arrogant man at reception said nothing could be done and that the music would stay as it was. The next morning, I asked for a manager but was told one wasn't available. On my last night, they turned the music up even louder and played it late.

I was in room 11 and there was no hot water. I told the host, but they never came to fix it.

This feels like a three-star hotel at best. I could hear the compressor from inside my room, and the smell was bad enough that I had to buy disinfectant spray. There was no option to switch rooms.
