Gregory Place

The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety, and everything was clean. I stayed three days and liked the place a lot. It’s only a 10-minute walk from the Vatican, in a beautiful part of Rome that feels fairly quiet despite being central. I’d recommend staying here.

Breakfast was included, with Dolce Gusto coffee, toast, jam, and some sweets. It’s not much for anyone who wants a healthy, substantial breakfast. The owner could describe it more honestly so guests know what to expect. The bathroom was clean, though the shower cabin looked visibly worn and could use replacing. Dario at reception was very nice and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, with a nice street view. There’s heavy traffic, but it’s quiet at night. This is a small, intimate place near the Vatican, on the second floor of a building with what I think are several apartments. It’s close to metro and bus options, and the Vatican area is also within walking distance. I really recommend it for being clean, spacious, and intimate.

The rooms were okay, but the shower was awful, leaking and with no pressure. Check-in was a mess, and the staff seemed incompetent. They only spoke Italian, which made things harder. We had paid for three large rooms but were given only two. After arguing with the staff, they finally handed over the third room we’d paid for.

There are shops, bars, cafes, and a few gas stations nearby. Parking by the building is free, and there’s also a garage not far from the apartments if needed. The Vatican is about a 10-15 minute walk away. A bus stop is roughly 150 meters away, and the metro is about 1 km away. Gregory Place is a very good option for a few days. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are nice and helpful, and they speak English very well. It’s very good value for the price. Strongly recommend!
