Hotel Katty

It was cold, and this felt like a 1-star hotel. If you can find another place for the same price, choose that one. Skip the breakfast too. You have to walk three blocks to a cafeteria, where all they give you each day is one croissant and one coffee.

Our room was very spacious, and the hotel staff were friendly. We liked going to the nearby cafe for breakfast each morning, though it costs extra. The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting in our room and was generally slow, which is why I’m giving it four stars. Otherwise, a great stay!

I was really glad I booked this place. My single room was very clean and had a small balcony. Roma Termini was only a few minutes away, with restaurants and little grocery shops just meters from the hotel. The area felt very safe for walking at night, even from 10 pm to 1 am, and there were soldiers around.

We spent eight nights at Hotel Katy and found it good quality for the prices. The room had been refurbished to a high standard and was very clean. The staff were lovely and flexible about early or late check-in. It’s in a quiet area, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and about a 10-12 minute walk from Termini Station. Breakfast costs a couple of extra Euros and is served at a cafe five minutes away. You get a pastry and a very nice coffee, enough to tide you over for a couple of hours before you get breakfast. The main downside was noise from guests returning late and not trying to be quiet, though I imagine that’s common at hotels around here. I’d recommend Hotel Katy, especially if you’re on a budget.
