Hotel Terme Olimpia

The main drawbacks were the lack of fresh fruit at breakfast and the thin sound insulation, which lets a lot of outside noise into the rooms. Still, the location is very central, with Termini station, the Colosseum, and the Forum all within walking distance, and the price is very attractive for the area. The hotel has been recently renovated, the rooms are nicely decorated, and the air-conditioning worked flawlessly. Staff were kind and attentive, and available around the clock. With the positives outweighing those few downsides, I would recommend it.

The owners were so helpful and kind that they made up for the room's drawbacks. It was tiny and poorly laid out, with no space to open our luggage, and there was nighttime noise from the piazza outside. Still, this charming hotel is a good deal, with lovely decor in a nice neighborhood close to the center and attractions.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful time. The hotel sits on a lovely cobbled street by the Metro, with the Colosseum and historic sites close enough to walk to. It's a beautiful, quaint little place, and the roof garden is stunning, with covered lounge seating, a patio area, and sun loungers.

The one thing that cut into our sleep was the live music once a week, which went on until 11:30pm. If an early bedtime matters, try to avoid the first floor. Otherwise, the neighborhood is lovely, you can walk almost anywhere, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Staff were nice, breakfast was basic but fine, and I wished it included fruit, eggs, or toast. Our room was cosy and clean, with a comfortable bed.
