Rattazzi Guesthouse

We paid for the first night but weren't allowed to stay there. Even though we'd warned the host in advance that our flight was delayed and told him we were already in Rome, he cancelled the reservation. We ended up spending the whole night at Termini Station, which felt particularly distressing because the area wasn't safe at night. The host hadn't introduced himself, and even his assistant seemed unsure who he was. When we got to the property the next day, the room didn't match its listing: it had no terrace, no garden view and no fan, although all three had been described. The host blamed Booking for the “false advertising,” then said a booking is automatically cancelled if a guest misses the first day, which we understood wasn't in line with the platform's policy. He charged us for the night we couldn't stay, then “kindly” let us remain for three nights. The whole experience felt dishonest and unfair, with no regard for basic hospitality. It's disappointing that Booking keeps this property listed. I don't recommend it to anyone. 👎
