All’Angelo Art Hotel

We had a private water taxi bring us from the airport, and our room was already ready even though we got there before check-in. The reception team had also been really helpful with all my questions before the trip. We came to Venice hoping to see and learn some less usual things, and All' Angelo Art Hotel made that happen. There were several fun groups staying at the same time, so we met new people and ended up laughing with strangers. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the location is great. I’d happily stay here again and again. The mattress was firmer than we like, though, and the pillows went flat.

The rooms, bathroom, and other areas were decent, around 4-5 out of 5. For a 2-4 day stay in Venice, this suite is a good pick if you want to be near St Marco Square. It has a canal-side entrance for getting in and out by boat, plus a small table where you can have your morning coffee.

The bathroom was clean, and the canal view is beautiful if you pay extra for it. But the service was TERRIBLE. We brought takeaway pasta from a place recommended on Instagram and went to eat it in the lobby since the hotel was just around the corner and we didn’t want to stand out on the street. The barlady working by the lobby connection screamed at us and told us to go to our rooms. Even if eating there wasn’t allowed, there’s a way to talk to guests without shouting at us like we were children being sent to our rooms. It almost felt as if we’d paid to stay in our rooms and nowhere else in the hotel. So rude, with no sense of customer service. We won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The bar was good for cocktails, and their cold meat and cheese board was lovely. We were close to restaurants, bars, and the square. We stayed four nights, and the breakfast was lovely too. Staff were always helpful.
