Asteria Venetian Suite

We adored our stay! Roberto and Donatella were lovely hosts and gave us a good glimpse into the Venician way of living. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a very central location and easy access to the Vaporetti, railway station, and buses. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets, a butcher, fishmonger, bakery, fruit and vegetable stands, and even a hairdresser were just around the corner. That last one is an inside joke between Achim and me.

Staying on the main island let us see Venice from early morning to night and enjoy getting lost in the city. The host, Roberto, was thoughtful and kind, ready to help if we needed anything, even before arrival. He felt like a trusted, considerate friend or distant relative, and left us with a lovely impression of Venice. The apartment is on the second floor of a very quiet street, about a seven-minute walk from the train station, so handling luggage was easy. Boats on the Grand Canal leave right in front of the station for popular sights, and the location also suited us for exploring on foot. It has a bathroom, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and a balcony for drying clothes. Elegant, clean, comfortable, practical, and fully equipped, it felt spacious and like home, with very good value for money. I’d highly recommend it and would choose it again when returning to Venice.

We debated between a hotel and an apartment, and choosing this place worked out very well. It was great value, and we felt at home within minutes. The apartment is elegant, clean, and practical, with a quiet location about 500 m from the station. It made for a comfortable few days living like Venetians. Roberto, the owner, helped us with everything we needed and has become a reference point for us.

The landlord was really friendly and shared plenty of helpful tips. The apartment itself was clean and very nice, close to the train station.
