Our travel agency chose this hotel for the start of our memorable September trip. It’s an 18th-century boutique hotel on Via Garibaldi in Venice’s Castello district, overlooking the Venetian Lagoon. Piazza San Marco is about a 10-minute walk away, and the nearest vaporetto stop is just three minutes on foot. There are plenty of shops, bars and places to eat nearby, while the waterfront itself is scenic. Hotel Ca' Formenta has a cute pink, two-story facade and 14 rooms. The modest interiors were clean and pleasant. The small lobby has traditional Venetian decor, gleaming tile floors, columns and elegant blue upholstered seating. Elena greeted us and made us feel welcome. Our room was small, spotlessly clean and full of Venetian charm. The shower had good water pressure, and the air conditioner worked well. A buffet breakfast is included each day, with a good selection, and the staff are always available and willing to help. We’d recommend the hotel highly.

We weren’t guests at your hotel, but after arriving frustrated and exhausted because the booking we thought we had didn’t exist, your help was a lifesaver. You suggested nearby hotels and then personally called them to find us a room. That was far beyond what we expected, and we’re incredibly grateful for your kindness and professionalism. We had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and well furnished, and the staff were excellent. It’s very close to the Arsenale ferry point and within walking distance of San Marco square.
