Hotel Dei Dragomanni

The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had a good range of choices. Hotel dei Dragomanni is in a quiet spot, about a 10-minute walk from Piazza San Marco. We spent a couple of nights there for our honeymoon in October 2025 and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were helpful when the room felt cold because the heater wasn’t working, and brought us a heater. They also arranged a water taxi to the airport for checkout. We’d arrived by water bus, and getting from the stop to the hotel with our luggage was a bit of a walk. We had mentioned the honeymoon when booking, and while we didn’t expect anything, a small acknowledgment would have been a nice touch. We’d stay here again.

We stayed for 5 days in March. The room had simple, clean decor rather than the usual Venician Rococo, and the bathroom was modern. There was an issue with the heating, though the blackouts worked well. Service was attentive and helpful. We skipped breakfast at the hotel and went to a good, much more fun local café around the corner instead. The location is very central yet quiet, and being 50 meters from a mooring on the canal grande made handling luggage easy, without long walks over bridges with suitcases. Recommended!

The rooms are simply and modernly furnished, with what you need for a comfortable stay, and the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Its spot on the Grand Canal is especially convenient: easy to reach by water taxi, Alilaguna, or ACTV boats, with St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge within walking distance. Breakfast is a small but good selection, enough to start the day. The bathroom is nicely designed, though a little more storage, especially in the shower, would help. I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly return.

Alessandro was welcoming and helpful from the time I booked through our whole stay, and the other staff were super friendly too. We especially enjoyed the complimentary water taxi to Murano and the glass blowing demonstration. Hotel dei Dragomanni is close to accademia bridge and the Guggenheim museum, with Piazza San Marco an 8 minute walk away. I absolutely recommend staying here.
