Its biggest plus is how close it is to the bus station. There’s a local restaurant below the apartment, and the windows aren't great, so you can hear absolutely everything until the restaurant closes. I also paid a little extra for the tourist tax and was supposed to get some change back. The owner said he'd leave it on the table the next day, but I never received it.

The room was comfortable and nice, and the place is good enough to stay at. The kitchen is barely equipped, though: it's just a counter and microwave, without even a toaster. The bus station for Venice is really close, about a 3-minute walk, and the train station is around 10 minutes away on foot.

The room was old and uncomfortable, and the bathroom smelled of plumbing. Water didn't drain quickly when we showered, so it filled up fast. The building and entrance looked so strange that we wanted to see the room before committing. When we arrived, it wasn't clear where to enter. We called, and the man came after five minutes, then sent us to another entrance. We climbed to the third floor and found what was basically a hostel with a private bathroom. He let us see the room, and my wife's expression made it clear she didn't like it. The man got upset and said that if he were Italian instead of Indian, we probably wouldn't have asked to see the room. He took it personally, even though I'm also a person of color. Later, after I'd posted my review, they contacted me with racist insults. I have a screenshot from the app as proof. Venice has many places that seem to pretend to be nicer than they are, but are very poor. Terrible experience. I can't recommend it. Avoid!

This is a hostel, with thin walls and doors. I couldn't sleep at all. It stinks, the furniture is cheap and ugly, and there were dead spiders and a cockroach in the bathroom. When I told the owner, he laughed. The towels smelled of unpleasant grease and made me nauseous. NOT RECOMMENDED!
