The place was cute and quiet, and initially Federica was very helpful and communicative. But after we arrived, she didn’t respond to any of the questions we sent. We stayed two nights. As usual for Venice, be ready to climb stairs to your room. I’d read that the rooms and bathrooms were small, and assumed that was typical for a hotel here. My main concerns were the mold on the bathroom walls, which can’t be healthy to breathe in, and how clean the breakfast area and kitchen were.

Federica helped us plan our late night arrival, and check-in was easy. The stylish room was gorgeous and clean, with air conditioning and a lovely view of the street below. My sister and I both thought it was one of the best value places we stayed on our trip. We loved our two nights here in June 2023. During Venice’s busy season, this district is a great choice: it’s quiet, with many locals living here, and shops and cafes are close by on Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. The vaporetto from Giardini to San Marco square took about 15 minutes, so you’re not far from the centre. We were right next to the Venice Biennale too, which was a highlight.
The location works really well for anyone visiting La Biennale, though it’s a bit of a walk to the city center. The room was small but cozy and nice. We were pleasantly surprised by the included breakfast, especially the delicious muffins and coffee. We didn’t meet the owner, but her housekeeper was delightful and very helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay.
There’s a nice park nearby, and it’s only two minutes to the Giardini taxi stop. Plenty of restaurants and bars are within five minutes, with a pleasant walk to St Marks. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. A lovely find in a quiet, great location. I’d choose it again if I came back to Venice.
When we arrived in May, we were told there was no room available, even though our booking had been confirmed weeks earlier. They had only just “realised”. It was extremely stressful, with few alternatives and the ones available were expensive. Communication was by phone. After this, it’s hard to find anything positive to say. I wouldn’t recommend it if you care about professionalism and knowing that a confirmed booking will actually be honored.
