Il Sogno di Annalisa Suite

The central location was the one clear plus, but it couldn’t make up for how uncomfortable the stay was. The house was cold and we had no way to adjust the temperature ourselves. The room was so dusty that it was visible on our slippers. When we mentioned it, the owner said it had been a few days since the last cleaning and didn’t offer to put it right. A place should be ready for guests, so that wasn’t acceptable. We were also asked to bundle up the little rubbish bags we’d used over our three nights and take them to public bins on the main street. That seemed strange when rubbish is usually collected door to door there. I sorted the plastic and general waste and left it neatly by the entrance instead. At 10 a.m., after calling to say he was coming, the owner came into the front room to pick up sheets and towels for other properties he manages. It would be better to arrange that without interrupting guests. I didn’t want to sound too critical at first, but these things deserve mentioning. We stayed over New Year’s Eve, and it’s a stay we’ll remember, just not in the way we’d hoped.
