Sazanami-no-yado Ranputei

My son, Wan-kun, had been unwell around springtime this year but has recovered. This was his memorable first night out again, and it was wonderful. The staff were polite, easy to talk with, and attentive to his health. Thank you all! The food was so good I forgot to take photos, though I wanted to capture everything. The room was spotless and comfortable, with no pet smell at all. From the room we could see a sea inlet, and the scenery changed with the tide. Walking along the beach, I could smell the sweet fragrance of flowers from a big tree. It must have been just the right season, and it made me so happy. The chef's cooking blew away our travel fatigue. The course meal was exquisite, with great ingredients and sauces, and the restaurant also has a nice view of the inlet. Service was efficient, with no waiting. Breakfast was delivered to the room, which was an interesting touch. Another guest chose a table on the beach instead. Ours had a baguette with various dishes and soups, plus coffee, drinks, and dessert. My husband loves sandwiches, so he was thrilled. I don't know another pet-friendly place with food this good. If you do, please tell me. If I lived closer, I'd come just for the food!

The beach was right in front of the property, and there was even a small dog run. Our dog had a bed both in our room and in the dining area, which made the place feel genuinely dog-friendly. Dinner made with Amakusa ingredients was delicious, and we had breakfast at an easy pace in our room. This was our first Kyushu trip with our dog. It took a while to find the entrance and we got a bit lost, but the parking lot was spacious and easy to use. The entrance is on the third floor, with rooms on the first and second. We had a first-floor room. A small elevator made it easy to get around with the pet stroller. On the first floor there was a dining area, dog shower room, and men's bath; the women's bath was on the second floor. Our room also had a bath. The trip from Osaka to Amakusa is quite long and difficult, but I'd like to stay here again when we come back to Amakusa.

The staff congratulated my husband and us, and wrote “Congratulations on your 70th Birthday!” on the dessert plate in chocolate. It made us so happy. They were also so kind to our dog. Thank you so much. 🙇 Our sons arranged this dog-friendly hotel for my husband's 70th birthday. We enjoyed every dish, and were very satisfied with the pet-friendly meals too.

The location is a real plus, with a sandy beach out front and a dog run open late so dogs can enjoy a beach walk. The rooms have pet amenities that make it clear pets come first. Dinner is high quality for people and pets alike, and there's a hot spring just for pets. The guest rooms feel like converted apartments. The large bath is small, with just two shower spots, and the first-floor bath had water all over the floor. The pet hot spring is nice, but only open in the morning. For this price it feels a bit luxurious. I'd rate it differently if the large bath were private, or if the hot spring connected to the guest rooms.
