Keikyu Ex Inn Keikyu Kawasaki Station

It was so quiet that I barely noticed anyone else in the hotel, even though I’ve had trouble with noisy guests at other business hotels. The room itself was fine, apart from having just one small pillow. I’m used to hotels providing two, one firm and one soft, and the mirror had odd marks, though the hotel says they’re normal. The location is hard to beat, right above KK train station. Take the escalator to the third floor, then head back down for 7-eleven, beard papa, and plenty more nearby. The laundry machine is new and washes and dries in one cycle; it can clean itself before you use it, and for 500-600 yen you can check its progress on the TV. You can also lock it with a PIN. There’s an iron, microwave, and basic amenities on the third floor. I thought the value was very good and would stay again.

I stayed three nights, arriving June 29, 2025. Check-in went smoothly, either at the machine or with the receptionist. The inn is connected to the train station, so it’s easy to get around, and the rooms are soundproof enough that I didn’t hear anything. I had planned to continue to another city, but stopped here to rest instead. A good place.

The front desk staff were courteous and greeted me whenever I passed through the lobby. I appreciated that. The hotel works well for a short stopover, with the train station right beside it and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. My room was the standard Tokyo size for one person. There’s also a neat 24-hour coffee and tea bar, which helped me get through my jetlag. The issue was the delivery trucks downstairs: engine idling and beeping woke me several times from 1 am until 3:45 am. One night was manageable, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer.

The location was perfect, and the staff were patient and really good. We had a fantastic stay, and my two-year-old loved watching the trains come and go.
