It felt comfortable, almost like staying at a relative's house, even though the place wasn't fully maintained. The owner was kind and easy to talk to, and we had basically everything we needed. The covered wooden deck meant we could barbecue even in the rain, and there was a good variety of meat to cook. Being out in nature was restful, with fresh air and deer and other animals you don't usually spot in town. It was cool and rainy when we visited, so the fan in the room was enough. On hot, sunny days, though, opening the windows could let insects in, so window screens would have been useful.
