Alpine Inn Mizushiro

The owners are a couple who built and lovingly run the inn, and they clearly care about the area. They gave us lots of helpful ideas for where to go and what to do, and their English was great. The lady owner made fantastic homemade breakfast and dinner, and we were lucky enough to have freshly picked wild mushrooms. There are indoor baths, or you can get a coupon for nearby milky onsen Yukemurikan for only ¥400. Lovely place, and I’d happily visit again.

We had a wonderful trip, and the hotel was a big part of that. The owners were so kind and helpful, offering advice on travel plans, current temperatures, and the best routes. The setting in the natural park is beautiful, though it’s a bit of a walk from the bus stop; the owners can help with pickup. The hotel itself is clean and lovely, with a cute onsen bath. Washrooms are shared, but there are enough of them. The food is delicious and home-cooked. I’d recommend Alpine Inn to everyone for a wonderful experience of Japanese hospitality and culture.

The family were so nice, and Sueko's food was superb. Osamu was a fantastic guide and source of information. The house was big and very clean, with everything we needed, including the spring bath, rental equipment, and comfy beds. We had a great time!

The staff know what to see, where to go, what to eat, and how to get around, and they helped us with all of it. We followed their advice to visit the kamikochi natural reserve and had a great time. The rooms may be a bit small, but they include lots of things: high-speed wifi, television, heater, table fan, tissue box, hangars, and a storage rack. Bathrooms and toilets are separate and clean, with hot and cold water available all the time. Vegetarian breakfast options are available on request.
