The staff were friendly and did their best to help throughout our two nights in December, even though their English was limited. We were comfortable in the room, which had a private onsen, and the food was excellent. The sashimi was fresh, and the lobster was still moving when it arrived. That was a little scary, but it made for a very nice stay.

A tidy, modern place to stay. The people were really nice and helpful, and I had a great experience here.

Instagram: @ryosuke.takamori0212 (I'd be happy if you followed me lol) During my visit to Ise Grand Shrine, I stayed at the wonderful Saio no Miya Inn in Ise and had a delicious dinner. The dish that stayed with me most was the Matsusaka Beef Nigiri. The photo is a little rough and probably isn't very “Instagrammable,” but the nigiri didn't need any visual embellishment. Its authentic deliciousness was enough. The sweet, high-quality fat unique to Matsusaka beef melted softly at body temperature and went beautifully with the rice. A light sear brought out an exquisite aroma and rich flavor, and every bite felt sublime and blissful. The meal wasn't the only lovely part. The substantial tableware, the inn's tranquil Japanese atmosphere, and the staff's meticulous hospitality all came together beautifully. It was easy to forget the bustle of everyday life for a peaceful, blissful moment. I'd confidently recommend this wonderful inn to adult travelers looking for a high-quality dining and ambiance experience, as well as a place to stay. #SaioNoMiya #IseTrip #IseGrandShrine #MieTourism #MieGourmet #MatsusakaBeef #MeatSushi #MatsusakaBeefNigiri #RyokanDinner #IsePilgrimage #AdultsHoliday #LuxuryTrip #DomesticTravel #BlissfulMoment #GourmetTrip #RecommendedAccommodation We share recommended food and accommodations from across Japan, mainly in Kyushu, the Kinki region, and Kanto.
