Restay Aine Inn Morioka

At Old Aine, the parking lot is still quite small. It's fine for a compact car, but feels tight if you're bringing a 3-number vehicle.

We booked the girls' getaway plan and found the facilities clean, well equipped, and especially generous with amenities. They let us borrow good quality shampoo for free, and at about 5,000 yen per person it felt like great value. The front desk staff were very polite too.

No matter which rate plan you choose, there are dead bugs and rubbish in every room.

The outside may look renovated, but it feels like only the shell was redone. Inside, the building is old, the rooms are smaller than the website photos, and most bathrooms have mold. Some toilets had so much limescale they looked like toilets from a Showa-era house or a campsite. From what I could see of the kitchen, I wouldn't want to order food or stay here. There's a clean hotel at the same price less than a five-minute walk away, with clean corridors and bathrooms, so I see little reason to pick this one. Even after the renovation, it still feels behind the times.
