Arashi Hotel Nambaminami

The smell from the animal fat processing facility next door was awful, honestly hard to bear. We bought air fresheners and kept the windows and vents closed. I’m here with my pregnant wife, whose sense of smell is very strong, so it’s been tough for her, though not the end of the world. That’s a bad situation for the hotel to deal with, and they’re doing their best. If the problems were with the hotel itself, I’d be more inclined to rate it lower. The staff are genuinely friendly, always greeting us, and really helpful with questions. The location is pretty good too, with two Lawson stores right next door and most things not far away. There’s good and bad here, but the people are why I gave it five stars.

The price needs checking carefully: mine went up by 100,000yen, which worked out to 318USD a night, and the hotel refused to refund the difference. At checkout I was 20min late and was told I had to pay 2,000yen for late checkout unless I gave them 10 out of 10 on the booking platform. I wouldn’t put much faith in Booking.com ratings, especially the full scores. The place was clean enough and had a simple Japanese home layout. I was fine with the eco cleaning arrangement, and I liked the bath facilities, which were useful for drying clothes. I hadn’t expected to do laundry, but we went past the supermarket every day. The neighborhood was very quiet. The location wasn’t inconvenient, though the station was some distance away and the two train lines weren’t where we needed to go. I would have liked more mirrors in the room.

From check-in through the small services, everything felt smooth and professional. At Arashi Hotel NAMBANINAMI in Osaka, I appreciated how clean and peaceful it was, and the organized management and considerate hospitality made the stay wonderful. The attention to guest details reflected Japanese culture and discipline. Japan keeps inspiring me with its honesty, equality, cleanliness, and love for the nation. Thank you, TEAM ARASHI 🙏🇯🇵

The room itself was fine, but I wouldn’t recommend this for tourists. We left a night early because the area didn’t feel pleasant. There was little nearby apart from a factory across the road and a Lawson.
