Comfort Hotel ERA Sapporo North

The breakfast was a lovely bonus, with delicious ingredients sourced from Hokkaido. Our room and the rest of the hotel were incredibly clean, and the staff were attentive and delightful. Check-in and check-out were easy, too. It’s an easy walk to convenience stores and Sapporo station. I’d happily stay here again.

The lobby has a coffee bar, and there’s always someone on staff if you need help. Rooms were very nice and larger than I expected in Japan. It’s about a 6-8 minute walk from the station if you have luggage or are coming from central Sapporo. I’d definitely stay again next time I’m there.

We spent six nights in a standard room with two twin beds. It was very spacious by Japanese standards, with a separate toilet and bathroom, a tub and small shower area, plus a sofa, vanity table, and little dining table. Everything looked new and was clean. They tidied the room daily, changed the towels, and took out the trash. The air conditioner and smart TV both worked well. My only complaint was the lack of a wardrobe. The hotel is on the quieter north side of JR Sapporo Station, away from the department stores and malls on the south side. It’s a five-minute walk from the station, or two minutes from the nearest underground pedestrian subway exit. If you’ll be using the subway a lot, the south side might be a better location. Lobby staff were very friendly and helpful, even though they didn’t speak much English. There’s a small locked area for suitcases after checkout. The lobby also had free coffee, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks. From 2pm to 11pm, wine, beer, and sake were 500 yen a glass. Highly recommend!

The rooms are decent and very clean. It’s a new hotel with nice facilities, including a cozy work area on the second floor where coffee and drinks are available free flow. There’s no onsen, but a Lawson store is right across the street. JR Sapporo station is roughly a 10-minute walk away.
