The food was excellent, and the whole holiday felt calm and peaceful. Since it's for female guests only, the place was really set up with women in mind. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you're not driving, book the shuttle from Sapporo early to secure a seat.

The onsen was a lovely way to relax, and having both private and public options was great. The beds felt a little firm for Western tastes, but that was a minor issue. Suichokan is exclusively for female guests, which made the stay feel especially peaceful and comfortable. I had an incredible time at Suichokan in Jozankei, Hokkaido. The traditional Japanese decor and soothing atmosphere were lovely, and the location made it easy to reach hiking trails and scenic spots. The meals were fabulous, with a delicious range of local and seasonal dishes. My favorite was the onigiri 🫶🏻. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and made me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay. It's a fantastic choice for women looking for the charm and quiet of a traditional Japanese hotel.

I stayed just one night in a lovely Traditional Japanese room and slept really well. The service, food, and relaxing atmosphere were all things I loved. They served a great premium healthy meal set, and breakfast was a favorite too. The outdoor Onsen was wonderful. If you're looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place.

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend Suichokan. There weren't many other guests, so the service felt intimate and private. Every staff member was friendly and very helpful, which we appreciated. Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed in a traditional Japanese style, and looked out toward the mountains. We were provided with welcome sweets, a yukata, towels, and toiletries. The outdoor onsen was just the right temperature and kept us warm on a snowy night. The restaurant service was excellent. Each dish was delicate and delicious, and you could tell the chefs paid close attention to detail. We hope this place gets more recognition 🍀

A really relaxing stay at this lovely semi-traditional hotel. The bath was great, and the complimentary snacks were a nice touch. Since it welcomes only women, the atmosphere felt especially calm. The staff were great too. They don't speak much English, but they were still very kind and patient.
