This hotel is really good quality.

The French food was fresh and delicious, with local vegetables, meat, and fish. I’m not used to this kind of meal, so every dish left me impressed (*´ω｀*). I enjoyed the mixed-gender bedrock bath next door, too. It was refreshing, though it can only fit a small number of people, which gives the place a secluded feel. They greeted us with an umbrella in the rain, and the welcome lemonade was delicious. Our room wasn't very spacious, but the ocean view was amazing. The old hotel directly in front gave me some pause and was a little bothersome, though I suppose nothing can be done about it. I wished there were a window in the bathroom so I could look out at the sea while bathing.

The service was very attentive, and the room on the hill overlooking the ocean was small but nice. Dinner was stylish French food made with local ingredients, but the portions were tiny, so don't expect a filling meal. Breakfast was light and mostly vegetables, and the serving sizes didn't feel worth the price. The hotel doesn't have many rooms. From our window, we could see fallen leaves in the pool below and weeds on the wooden deck. Even a single flower in view would make the place feel a class above. I think the staff would understand if they experienced it as a guest. Also, the winter loungewear seemed odd for midsummer. There were only women's M and men's L, so larger guests should bring their own.

The library was a nice find, but it also serves as a smoking area, and the cigarette smell was strong enough to make it hard to go inside. I was able to relax in the large public bath, which unusually for a small hotel also had a hot stone sauna. The inn has around ten rooms and is near the sea. Dinner was a delicious full course, and there was a complimentary drinks list with plenty to choose from, including wines, sake, beer, and plum wine. We could pick different drinks to go with the food and enjoy the meal. It was nice to wear the hotel's loungewear in the restaurant, and there was free coffee in the lobby.
