Happy Garden Guest House

The guesthouse is in Namsan, close to Namsan Station and surrounded by halal food options, so the location is very convenient. Just know that it's uphill from the station, which can be a hassle with luggage. As a Muslim solo traveler, I stayed in the female dorm, but I wouldn't recommend that dorm for Muslim travelers. The male owners can enter the room and dorm at any time without notice, and since you need to cover yourself, that was inconvenient. They came in every day, so it was a bit of a struggle for me. A private room would be better. The owners are very nice otherwise, and the rooms and facilities are great, with basically everything you need. I'd consider staying again on a return to Seoul, just not in the dorm.

The hosts were incredibly friendly, and our room was spacious and clean. We also loved the roof terrace and its great city views. It's only a few minutes' walk from Myeongdong, and I'd definitely come back. I'd recommend it for a few nights in Seoul.

The owner really made the stay with their warmth and helpfulness, and I'd happily return on my next Seoul trip. The location is fantastic, close to Myeongdong's busy shopping area and plenty of local restaurants. It's about a 300-meter uphill walk from the train station, which could be tough with small children or heavy bags. For a taxi pickup, it's easier to meet at the Pacific Hotel, since taxis can get there easily.

We were right by a big metro station, with loads of shops, good restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which was perfect for us. The room was super clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The owners were so friendly throughout, and their son even took us on a little private night tour up to the N Seoul Tour, right behind the guesthouse. Really nice guesthouse/hotel, would totally recommend it in Seoul!
