You can get around to different places in about 15-20 minutes by taxi, and the location still feels central. The price was pretty affordable too. A good place to stay if being right in the middle of Myeongdong isn't important to you.

The staff were really kind. They gave us a treat at check-in, there was complimentary water in the hotel, and having a 7-Eleven right inside was handy. But the room was dusty, the bathroom wasn't very clean, and the carpets looked and felt like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. The sheets were uncomfortable, the AC didn't work, and it took a long time for the shower to warm up. We stayed one night, which was plenty. We moved to another hotel the next morning.

The only real downside was a slight odd smell in my room, a bit like a swimming pool. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with my week here. It was extremely quiet at night, a big plus for someone like me who's sensitive to noise, and even the room cleaners were friendly. For the price, having breakfast, a gym, and daily room cleaning seemed well above what I expected. When we asked to leave our bags three hours before check-in, reception helped without any fuss. I don't usually ask for much, and I don't think one star is fair just because the hotel couldn't provide a humidifier. Even five-star hotels can't always have one available. In my opinion, it was worth staying here for the price.

We had a lovely stay. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for me and my brother, with a TV for watching K-dramas while getting ready. It was cleaned daily and stayed pretty clean overall, though the cleaning wasn't quite five-star since they didn't get to every area. We had gowns, slippers, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, towels, and combs. Staff were friendly and sorted out requests or issues quickly. You can borrow an iron and ironing board from reception, and there are two water bottles in the room each day. Some staff didn't understand much English, so PapaGo helped. There's also a 7/11 downstairs. Dongdaemun is a fashion district, and lots of shops nearby stay open until 5am. Cheonggyecheon Stream is just to the right as you leave the main entrance. In the evening, we liked getting a pouch drink from one of the three convenience stores nearby and walking along the stream. Turn left from the entrance and walk about seven minutes to Olive Young. Naver or Kakao maps are useful for getting around the country, and Kakao Taxi made it convenient to get cheaper taxi fares. Drivers would pick you up anywhere. The location worked well for getting around Seoul, though Seongsu and Hongdae take longer to reach. Myeongdong is about a 30-minute bus ride, and places like Itaewon and Namdaemun are also not too far. There aren't many halal food places nearby, but we managed. A CU down the road sells halal Indomie noodles, and there are some halal Indian places near the hotel. Korehal on IG has a useful map of halal food and prayer rooms around Seoul. At breakfast, there were cereal, eggs, bibimbap, juice, tea, coffee, toast, and croissants. For the bibimbap, just leave out the meat if you're eating halal. Every Sunday there's a flea market right outside the hotel, running along its right side and across the road by the flea market sign. It goes on for miles around the area, with all sorts of things for sale. I found some great cheap designer clothes, vintage pieces, jewellery, and watches. I'd give the hotel 5/5.

I picked this hotel for a week and the quality for the price seems really good. The room was clean, well equipped, and quiet from the neighbors, though I could hear cars passing outside. Wi-Fi was fast and stable. The AC is a little noisy but that's okay, and you can set the temperature remotely. Staff were welcoming. I asked for an iron at check-in and they brought it with an ironing board a few moments later. There's a 7/11 and a Korean traditional restaurant on the ground floor, and breakfast on the second floor had a decent selection. It's been a good experience so far.
