Royal Hotel&Spa Pristina

I was impressed by the value at the Hotel Royal. It's quiet and well located, and having breakfast in the morning was a nice extra. I'd happily stay again.

The sauna was cold, didn't match the photos, and didn't work all the time. You had to ask staff to turn it on. The staff attitude and service were awful too. The reception woman charged me twice for drinks: my boyfriend had paid, but after he left they asked me to pay again. When I tried to settle it myself, she got angry because I wouldn't hand over my card. She said, “poor England to have you there,” and told me I wasn't welcome. That's rude treatment of a customer. I told her I wouldn't come back and that the hotel was below many others in Prishtina. Cheap place, one star.

When I stayed, the service was awful. They didn't even come to clean my room because I'm from Montenegro, which they treated as their “well-known hospitality.” The place looked much better in the past, before it was stolen by shiptars. Its interior has been ruined and is awful, stuck in the '90s. Please don't go there, it's not worth it.

Pristina is a very small city, so you don't need a car. There are plenty of taxi companies you can book through an app, and public transport can take you from the airport to the city center. There are also smaller, cheaper hotels with the same or even better service and rooms. Hotels here cost more than anywhere in Europe, despite all the other options in Pristina. This is a nice hotel.
