The garden full of trees gives this small boutique hotel a peaceful, green feel right in central Vientiane. It’s on Setthathirat Road, a short walk from the Mekong Riverbank and nearby temples. We stayed three nights in an upstairs room with a large balcony. It was comfortable, with air conditioning, ceiling fans, and Wi-Fi, but there was no TV, electric kettle, minibar, or other entertainment. The rate was 80 USD per night. Breakfast was included, with bread, eggs, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and lime juice. There’s no other food or drink service, and no pool, gym, or extra entertainment. The hotel is run by one receptionist and his wife, so service can feel limited. Professionalism could be better, and cleanliness could be maintained more carefully. Payment was a little inconvenient: they couldn’t accept BCEL QR, so we ended up paying by bank transfer. Cash and cards are accepted. It’s a quiet, green place in the heart of Vientiane, suited to a short, peaceful stay.

Right in the heart of Vientiane, this is a quiet, affordable place to stay. The big garden is lovely, and the old two-story house has no more than a dozen rooms. “Quaint” really does fit this charming place. The staff are helpful too. There can be a bit of a language barrier, but they make up for it with their kindness.

The family running the place were so sweet, especially the front desk guy, who was kind and helpful. When an ATM nearby kept my card, he tried calling the bank for me. The building and rooms are gorgeous and huge, and breakfast was delicious. The location couldn’t be better. I can see why some reviews call it expensive. You can find cheaper hotels in Vientiane, but how many are in old historic buildings with so much character? Staying here made me feel transported back in time ❤️

We stayed one night with my family in the Mango room. It was spacious and comfortable, with nice wooden furniture and good decor. The location is convenient but still peaceful. Staff were friendly, helpful, and able to speak English, and we enjoyed the breakfast. There’s a local night market with lots of food stalls, plus a supermarket with a wide range of items on the street behind.
