The Bavarian Resort

The owner let me arrive late at night without a booking, and even gave me a small discount since I only needed the room for six hours. I enjoyed chatting with him. The place is peaceful, with lovely rooms and a beautifully decorated area, and the main street with its cafes and shops is just a three-minute walk away. When the season usually starts in May, he makes hummus and falafel at his restaurant. Wishing this place all the best!

We slept badly for the first couple of days because there's a mosque nearby. Still, the owner was kind and answered all our questions, and the room felt good for the price, even if the mattress was a bit lumpy. It's a decent hostel with a lovely feel, and I'd recommend it.

I was here for two weeks and was happy with the stay. The staff and manager were all really friendly and helpful. The room is fairly basic, but comfortable enough, and the shower has good pressure. It's handy for getting around, about a 5-10 minute walk to main point, with a convenience store down the street and lots of food options right outside. The price was reasonable too.

Faisal looked after us so well, a gentle, kind host who went out of his way to make us comfortable. We stayed around 10 days and thought this was the best value we'd found in Sri Lanka. The location is just off the main road, so it's peaceful, but still within walking distance of the beach and surf point. Our clean room had perfectly working AC, hot water, hanging racks, a desk and chair. There's also a laundry service. We felt very well cared for, and the setup works for short or long stays. Highly recommend.
