Rest Full Homestay

We stayed for two nights and found it clean and comfortable, with very kind, helpful hosts. They sorted out tuk tuks, other transport, and laundry, all to a good standard. It's in a quiet neighborhood, with a quick downhill walk to the city center, and you can also walk to little Adam’s peak and the nine arch bridge. The view here is limited, but that didn't matter to us since we had views all day while visiting. We tried both western and local breakfasts, and both were great.

We stayed as a family of four, with children aged 8 and 12, and enjoyed the peaceful green canopy and birdsong from the room. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We picked it over nearby options for the separate mezzanine, which gave the kids their own double bed and mosquito net, as well as extra space and a bit of fun. The large master bed was comfortable and had a net too, though it could fall if pulled too hard. There was no AC, but the two fans were enough. The room also had a fridge, cooking facilities, a hairdryer, and a comfortable seating area. The fridge was noisy at night, so we unplugged it in the evenings. The shower had hot water after a short wait. WiFi was hit or miss and slow, even with two hubs. In the evening we could hear nearby restaurants and bars, but earplugs helped us sleep. It's just off the main road and about 10 minutes from the center, though the walk is steep and may be difficult for anyone with limited mobility. The owners were welcoming and made delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts for us over two days, well worth trying. They also arranged a well-organised Yala National Park tour at a reasonable price compared with other quotes. Laundry is available, though we didn't use it. We'd be happy to return.

Our family stayed for two nights, from April 8th, 2025 to April 10th, 2025, and loved it. The owners were lovely and kind, and helped us a lot with transport bookings. We also had a very friendly, helpful driver who took us around, since the homestay provides taxi services. Breakfast is well worth having: lots of choices, including fruit, tea, coffee, and fresh juice, all homemade. We'd definitely come back. The owner was very nice and made us a delicious breakfast. The place itself is lovely and close to the main street, but we couldn't hear the street noise. We had a house with one room. The bathroom was the big downside.
