Indra was a wonderful host, cook, and teacher for the kids. Forest Glen felt like an idyllic jungle hideaway, yet it was only a 10 minute walk from the town centre. Our rooms were very clean, and we had lovely home cooked meals. The kids loved the playground, and Indra was happy to take them to the school for a couple of hours. Thanks again for such a refreshing, wonderful stay. X

Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, delicious meals, and warm hospitality all came together here. This is the best place to stay near Udawatthakele forest sanctuary in Kandy. It’s a precious homestay, and I’d love to return.

The owner told us on arrival that this hotel had been closed since 2020. We’d already booked through booking.com, and she still appeared online on booking and airbnb even though the place was closed. The money was gone. Don’t book here!
