Pearl Oceanic Resort - Trincomalee

We had an amazing two-day stay at Pearl Oceanic, a beautiful property facing the turquoise sea in Srilanka. The food and hospitality were 10/10. Manager Kishan was very humble and helpful. When we asked for different meals for our three-year-old, he served them with a smile. We tried the lobsters and local Srilanka yellow rice with chicken gravy, and they were out of this world. There’s direct private access to the sea from the property, which made the experience feel especially special and exclusive.

We booked Pearl oceanic for its direct beach access, and the ocean view from the room was astounding, especially at sunrise. The rooms were decent, spacious and clean, though I did have an issue with insects in the room, excluding ants. It’s probably something to be prepared for. Breakfast and dinner were okay. Breakfast was continental, with scrambled eggs, sausage and toast. For dinner we had fried chicken pieces and fries, beef Kottu and Devil chicken. Beef kottu was my favorite, 6/10. One big red flag was the stretch of beach nearby. The beach right in front of the hotel was clean, but the neighboring facilities on the right had left lots of junk on their stretch.

We had a peaceful two-day vacation at the resort. The surroundings were calm, the view was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and supportive. Thanks to the management for giving guests such a good experience. ✨

We spent two lovely nights here with family, and it was extremely good value. The area is quiet, and the beach is lovely, though a bit dirty on the land side while the ocean side is clean. There’s a clean, toddler-friendly pool open from 9-9. We enjoyed delicious pittu, string hoppers, grilled chicken and French toast. The staff were friendly.
